“At Vision, it’s not about transactions. It’s about relationships. People text me asking if I’m in the branch just because they want to visit. That says it all.”
“I like that fact that we are truly rural. We still answer our phones and know members by their names when they come through the door.”
“Every employee’s child can apply to get a $250 donation for a team they play on. We also sponsor rinks, golf courses, curling clubs – you name it. You’d be hard pressed to find a community where we weren’t donating and sponsoring this stuff.”
“I’ve never worked anywhere before where volunteering and being involved in the community were so supported and encouraged…There’s a genuine culture of caring here.”
“It’s a true family environment at Vision, and families take care of one another.”
“You build a bond with your members. You become a part of their lives and they definitely have become part of mine.”
“What would any small town be without trust, relationships and community spirit? It’s the same at Vision. You don’t get 75 years of service in small towns without those same values – and we’re proud of that.”
About Vision
Vision Credit Union has been serving rural Alberta for generations, and we’re proud to do things a little differently. We’re the only financial institution exclusively based in rural Alberta, and everything we do starts with the people, farms, businesses and communities we serve. Vision is built on principles over profit, which means putting members first, sharing success and reinvesting in the places we call home.
We offer the financial products and services you’d expect, but our approach is grounded in something more practical: real relationships, common sense, strong service and a genuine understanding of rural life. Around here, agriculture know-how, sound judgment, a can-do attitude and commitment still count for a lot.
Vision has been recognized as one of Alberta’s Top Employers and named Alberta Credit Union of the Year multiple times. More importantly, we’ve built a workplace where people can grow, contribute and build meaningful careers close to home while helping make rural Alberta stronger.
