nCino (Loan Origination Platform) Specialist - Contract Position

The nCino (Loan Origination Platform) Specialist is responsible for supporting, configuring, optimizing, and enhancing Vision Credit Union's nCino Loan Origination System (LOS) and related lending technologies. This position will play a key role in the continued implementation, administration, testing, maintenance, and evolution of the platform to ensure alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational efficiency goals.

 

This individual works closely with all Credit related departments, Digital Transformation, Information Technology, Risk & Compliance, and external vendors to support lending workflows and technology initiatives. The specialist will contribute to platform configuration, process improvement, requirements gathering, testing, release management, change management activities, end-user support, documentation, and training.

 

This is a full-time, 12-month contract opportunity with flexible work options. The successful candidate may work from our Camrose or Wainwright locations, remotely, or through a hybrid work arrangement.

The Person:

 

·        Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, Finance, or a related discipline, or an acceptable combination of education and relevant experience.

·        Demonstrated experience administering, supporting, or implementing loan origination systems.

·        Experience working with the nCino platform.

·        Experience with business process mapping, process improvement, and workflow design.

·        Experience developing and executing formal testing methodologies, including UAT and regression testing.

·        Knowledge of software development lifecycle principles, change management, and release management practices.

 

Compensation:

 

·        Salary range $80,000 to $98,000/annually.

This position will play a key role in the continued implementation, administration, testing, maintenance, and evolution of the platform to ensure alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational efficiency goals.

 

This individual works closely with all Credit related departments, Digital Transformation, Information Technology, Risk & Compliance, and external vendors to support lending workflows and technology initiatives. The specialist will contribute to platform configuration, process improvement, requirements gathering, testing, release management, change management activities, end-user support, documentation, and training.

 

The successful candidate will assist in designing and maintaining lending processes, mapping current and future state workflows, supporting system enhancements, and ensuring that platform changes are properly tested and deployed. This individual will help maximize the value of the nCino platform while supporting the organization's commitment to delivering an exceptional member and employee experience.

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

 

·        Plan, develop, and support nCino Loan Origination System programs, configurations, and enhancements throughout the credit union.

·        Provide administration and operational support for the nCino platform, including user maintenance, access management, workflows, products, forms, templates, and configuration settings.

·        Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of the nCino platform and related lending technologies.

·        Collaborate with business units to gather, document, and validate business requirements for system enhancements and process improvements.

·        Analyze lending processes and workflows to identify efficiencies, opportunities for automation, and risk mitigation.

·        Develop current-state and future-state process maps and facilitate business process redesign initiatives.

·        Coordinate and participate in platform releases, system upgrades, and enhancement projects.

·        Develop, execute, and document system testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, and release validation.

·        Maintain testing plans, scripts, scenarios, and supporting documentation for platform modifications and releases.

·        Coordinate defect identification, issue resolution, retesting activities, and production deployment readiness.

·        Work closely with internal developers, implementation partners, and vendors to troubleshoot system issues and implement solutions.

·        Assist with the implementation, deployment, and operation of lending technology solutions supporting commercial, agricultural, and retail lending.

·        Develop, administer, and maintain policies, procedures, standards, and documentation related to the nCino platform.

·        Support change management activities, including stakeholder engagement, communication planning, training development, and end-user adoption strategies.

·        Create and maintain system documentation, configuration records, process documentation, and operational procedures.

·        Develop training materials and deliver end-user training sessions as required.

·        Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to functionality, usability, and operational effectiveness.

·        Assist management with strategic and tactical planning related to lending technology initiatives.

·        Collaborate with Information Technology, Digital Transformation, Credit Risk, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure successful project delivery.

·        Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers to support platform enhancements and ongoing maintenance activities.

·        Ensure applicable project management practices are followed throughout project lifecycles.

·        Support system audit activities, regulatory reviews, and compliance requirements.

·        Participate in capacity planning related to platform growth, enhancements, and future releases.

·        Research emerging technologies, platform capabilities, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

·        Create business cases, recommendations, and presentations supporting platform enhancements and process improvements.

·        Act as a subject matter expert and advocate for the nCino platform and associated lending technologies.

·        Maintain and promote a sense of teamwork, collaboration, and community.

Requirements

 

·        High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.

·        Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, Finance, or a related discipline, or an acceptable combination of education and relevant experience.

·        Demonstrated experience administering, supporting, or implementing loan origination systems.

·        Experience working with the nCino platform.

·        Salesforce administration or configuration experience considered a significant asset.

·        Strong understanding of lending operations, credit processes, loan origination workflows, and financial services environments.

·        Experience with business process mapping, process improvement, and workflow design.

·        Experience developing and executing formal testing methodologies, including UAT and regression testing.

·        Knowledge of software development lifecycle principles, change management, and release management practices.

·        Experience working with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, and related collaboration tools.

·        Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies.

·        Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

·        Strong understanding of system configuration, data management, reporting, and user administration.

·        Ability to conduct research into software issues, products, and emerging technologies.

·        Excellent understanding of organizational goals and objectives.

·        Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

·        Experience delivering training, coaching, or mentoring others considered an asset

·        Banking or credit union experience considered an asset but not required

Contract-Specific Focus Areas

 

During the contract term, priority responsibilities will include:

 

·        nCino platform optimization and administration as the project to implement the platform reaches completion.

·        Loan origination workflow configuration and enhancement.

·        End-to-end process mapping across lending functions.

·        Monthly release testing and deployment support.

·        User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination and documentation.

·        Stakeholder engagement and training.

·        Enhancement backlog management.

·        Support of agricultural, commercial, and retail lending initiatives.
