Central Alberta Regional Manager
The Regional Manager shall direct and manage all branch activities in order to achieve specific goals and targets. Lead and mentor Branch managers to the highest standards so that Vision Credit Union Ltd. can increase brand equity and reputation. Invest in our organization’s personnel to ensure high retention rates, and attract qualified applicants. This position oversees the branches performance of all operational functions while conveying a feeling of trust, security and satisfaction to members and staff.
This is a full-time permanent position.

The Person:
• 5 years’ credit granting or other financial institution lending experience, considered and asset.
• Post secondary training an asset.
• Proven management, coaching and motivational skills including exposure to all areas of lending, banking floor and accounting.
• Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
• Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills.

• Salary range $85,000 to $125,000/annually.

Position Title: Regional Manager

Summary
The Regional Manager shall direct and manage all branch activities in order to achieve specific goals and targets. This position oversees the branches performance of all operational functions while conveying a feeling of trust, security and satisfaction to members and staff.
This position has regular and frequent contact with Vice Presidents, management and branch staff. External contact and good relations are required with lawyers, accountants, appraisers, members, and prospective members.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
• Manage, lead and mentor designated Branch Managers.
• Work with Executive on deposit and loan targets as a contribution through Vision Credit Union Ltd. joint planning committee.
• Promote and monitor branch performance in all key categories and take remedial action as required to maximize benefits across the whole organization.
• Be a leader, mentor and team player in key credit union initiatives. Ensure ongoing progress in Business Development initiatives.
• Monitor the level of member service provided to member by branch managers.
• Assist branches in resolving conflict, while reinforcing continuous respectful communication between all staff.
• Trains and coaches branch managers towards establishing the required knowledge base and skills to reach specific targets.
• Conduct branch visits, prepare annual written individual branch assessments as required.
• Recommend to Vice Presidents strategies periodically re: interest rates, investment strategies, policies, procedures.
• Maintain strong working knowledge of applicable regulations, legislations and compliance issues, and changes made. Keep current on all Vision Credit Union Ltd. products.
• Ensure all Money Laundering and FINTRAC policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Ensure that all personnel understand the organization’s mission and objectives and work towards the common goal and that they work together to achieve the stated objectives.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations for all subordinate employees.
• Responsible for monitoring and utilizing the Regional Calendar.
• Adhere to all Vision Credit Union Ltd. policies and procedures.
• Follow all compliance policies and procedures in relation to Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing Guidelines.
• Assist the Vice President of Business Development/Vice President of Branch Operations with other duties as assigned.
